Before managing the glaucoma division, she worked in fundraising at JSEI and enjoyed being part of providing vital services to people in need. She met Thomas Caldwell, founder of Emerging Light Foundation, and since then has been committed to being a part of their team in serving underprivileged families. Trini obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree and certification in fundraising from UCLA. Trini currently resides in West Los Angeles.

Amy Chang - Little guys swarm Amy all the time!

Joan Santos - Joan serves as Secretary for Emerging Light Foundation. Her love for youth, particularly those in vulnerable populations, has led her to serve children through several different organizations, including Youth Journey (www.youthjourney.org), Emerging Light Foundation and Mustard Seed Communities (www.mustardseed.com). Because of her love for kids, She also recently decided to go back to school to pursue a Master's Degree in Nursing at UCLA, and hopes to become a Pediatric Nurse upon her graduation in 2010. Joan is happily married to Chris Jahng, and living in Redondo Beach.

Tom Caldwell - Thomas Caldwell met Chris and Eric while starting up another ministry serving disadvantaged youths. The three of them had the dream of bringing youths from all walks of live to the Lord and not letting worldly barriers get in the way of God's will. In August of 2008 they formed Emerging Light with the first location opening up at Greater First Christian Church in Torrance, California. Thomas is an attorney at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and assists multiple Christian based non-profits get on their feet. He also sits on the Board of Habitat for Humanity of the San Fernando/ Santa Clarita Valleys and lives in West Hills, California with his wife Asako. My vision for ELF is to ensure that the foster youth in Los Angeles County are not left behind and equipped with the knowledge of the Gospel to enable them to claim their inheritance in the Kingdom of Heaven.

He is born and raised here, in Southern California and lives with his wife, Joan in Redondo Beach. His dream for ELF is to keep reaching out, staying proactive and building better futures for the 100,000+ kids in the foster system, right here, in California (20% of the USA's 500,000) by sharing his life experience, teaching them new things, creating hope and love in their lives, and bringing them faith in a loving God.
